Neighborhood Development Center Receives Grant from Families and Workers Fund

Neighborhood Development Center (NDC) is honored to announce a grant from the Families and Workers Fund to spearhead a vital initiative aimed at enhancing compliance and job quality for small businesses in our community. This funding will allow us to leverage our Technical Assistance/Business Lab program to provide focused support to local bookkeepers and accountants, empowering them with the tools and knowledge needed to ensure their businesses adhere to evolving federal and state regulations. We will be building a scalable and innovative model to improve jobs for workers and their companies.

Strengthening compliance practices is at the core of building a lasting business. By growing capabilities and capacity, we aim to not only mitigate risks for small businesses but also to create a ripple effect that improves job quality and stability for the employees they employ and support. We know that solid input creates strong, meaningful outputs for everyone who comes in contact with NDC.

We are deeply grateful to the Families and Workers Fund for their generous support and partnership in this critical work. This funding allows us to bridge gaps in compliance and expertise while strengthening the foundation for resilient small businesses and a stronger community. We are excited to get this project off the ground and look forward to the positive impact it will have on our local neighborhoods and communities.

The Families and Workers Fund is a platform for collective action and a pooled $125+ million collaborative funds supported by 40 diverse funders working together to build a more equitable economy that uplifts all.
