Location: Hybrid (Remote & In-Person Meetings as Needed)

Time Commitment: 10-15 Hours per Week (Flexible Scheduling Available)

Organizational Overview
The Neighborhood Development Center (NDC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs in underserved communities. Our marketing team works to elevate NDC’s brand, attract donors, and enhance community engagement through strategic storytelling and digital marketing efforts.
Position Summary
We are looking for a creative and driven Marketing Intern to join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world marketing experience, build your professional portfolio, and contribute to meaningful projects that make an impact in the community. You’ll have the opportunity to develop content, execute marketing campaigns, and analyze engagement metrics while learning from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engaging social media content aligned with NDC’s mission and brand.
- Assist in managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn) by scheduling posts and tracking performance metrics.
- Support email marketing efforts, including drafting newsletters and outreach campaigns.
- Conduct research on marketing trends, audience engagement, and donor attraction strategies.
- Assist in event promotions and community outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and develop creative marketing ideas.
- Design graphics and visuals using Canva or other tools (experience with Adobe Suite is a plus but not required).
- Track and analyze social media engagement and campaign success.
Qualifications & Skills
- Passion for marketing, branding, and social media engagement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh ideas.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Interest in nonprofit work, community development, or small business support is a plus.
